John Nicolini This 1956 graphite portrait of San Francisco based figurative artist Richard Diebenkorn entitled Diebenkorn is by Bay Area artist John Nicolini (1923-2014). He studie d at CCAC, earning a BA in Fine Art in the late 1950s. He worked as a commercial and graphic designer, owning a graphic arts firm for 40 years. He exhibited widely throughout Northern California, including at the de Young Museum in SF. 1956 Graphite on Paper 8.5"x11.5" unframed Titled and dated lower right. Framed in a wide faced contemporary wood frame in a pale wash using 8-ply archival matting behind conservation clear glass. Good vintage condition. Show more
