Bound in a single thick piece of vegetable tanned leather we leave the cover of this journal plain, it's for those of you that prefer the natural, unadorned look of leather. Once we have hand cut the cover we give it a hand stained brown finish that picks out the natural markings in the leather. This makes each book unique and the tone and grain of your journal may vary from the image shown. The covers are held closed by two cords finished with leather beads. We originally made our replaceable page books for storing finished work but many of our customers love the flexibility of being able to remove and replace the pages and use them as everyday journals or notebooks. The paper can be replaced easily with any A5 pre-punched paper, it is held in place by a cord that fastens at the back of the book.P a p e rOur paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour with faint flecks. It has a matt appearance and a slight texture.
