Paul McCoy This Mid 20th Century ink on paper drawing is by California artist Paul McCoy (1921-2005). An artist and writer, he studied at New York's Pratt Institute and Cornell University, where he graduated with a MA in Literature. In the late 1950s McCoy moved to Majorca, Spain. Following in the footsteps of the European Modernists Picasso and Cezanne, he studied the Mediterranean palette, painting local people and architecture. McCoy returned to California in the 1960s where he continued to paint coastal life with a European influence. Mid 20th Century Ink on Paper 14.75"x17.5" framed, 3.5"x6.5" unframed Good vintage condition. Estate stamped on the lower right. Framed in a restored decorative vintage wood frame with ornate carvings and an aged gold finish using museum-style archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
