Jacquelinne White Entitled Growth Rhythm Black, this 1950s Abstract Expressionist oil on canvas is by Bay Area artist and teacher Jacquelinne White (1919-2008). White was a musicia n who transitioned into painting, earning her BFA and MFA in the late 1950s-early 1960s. She exhibited at the Legion of Honor in 1961 and in a group show with John Cage and Kenneth Rexroth.
