Well, we used a jelly roll which is an American term used to describe a type of fabric cut that is hugely popular and is a big part of this quilt. So then to give it an Australian feel, what better than an ever popular Australian dessert, the trifle. I thought the name suited the quilt perfectly! Approximate finished quilt size: 178cm x 215cm (70” x 85”) Fabric Requirements: 1 x Jelly Roll (40 x 2 ½” strips) Plus an extra 11 x 2 ½” strips of assorted prints for blocks, border and binding 255cm contrasting homespun for block centres, lattice and border 380cm x 110cm wide fabric for backing 190cm x 240cm wide wadding Required: Rotary equipment Pins and scissors Sharp pencil Neutral thread for piecing Designed by The Patchwork Pear Show more
