This product can be used with our battery operated, holiday decorations, which ordinarily only works with 3 AA batteries. This product allows you to plug it in (or virtually any ot her device that uses 3 AA batteries. This adapter will pay for itself in no time and it's much better for the environment than alkaline or standard batteries that get used once and then thrown away. It includes a plug-in power adapter which is attached to one dummy AA battery. Add two additional dummy batteries to complete the circuit allowing a battery operated device to be powered. Adapter output is 4.5volts which is the same as 3 batteries. Do not use with devices that ordinarily use 2 or 4 batteries. This is only for devices that use 3 AA batteries. Product has a 9-ft long lead wire and wire closest to the battery compartment is flat to allow most battery covers to close easily. Show more
