Prints;Art;History; COTTON CENTENNIAL EXPOSITION . . . or as it was officially called, the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition, was held in 1884 in part of what is now Audubon Park. It celebrated the shipment of the first bale of cotton to England. Some of the buildings remained in the park until 1915.
