The Aardvark Isolator Ultra Line represents the pinnacle of Aardvark's Ethernet noise isolation technology. Built on the proven foundation of the Classic Line, the Ultra is engineered without compromise, utilizing premium materials, meticulous hand craftsmanship, and advanced shielding to create the cleanest possible signal path for reference-level digital audio systems. Designed for the most demanding listeners, the Ultra Line combines transformer-coupled galvanic isolation with an exceptionally shielded cable and enclosure system constructed from heavy copper and mu-metal. Every internal connection is hardwired by hand using silver-alloy solder, eliminating unnecessary circuit boards and mechanical connections that can compromise signal integrity. Engineered to Combat Three Sources of Noise The Ultra Line is designed to address the three primary sources of noise that can degrade digital audio performance. 1. Electrical Noise from Connected Components Every digital component—including streamers, servers, switches, routers, and DACs—generates electrical noise through its internal clocks and oscillators. Because this noise can travel through the network ground plane, it has the potential to affect every connected component. Using high-quality transformer-coupled galvanic isolation, the Ultra Line breaks the electrical connection while allowing data to pass freely, helping prevent noise from contaminating the most sensitive parts of your system. 2. Signal Path Integrity Maintaining a clean signal path is equally important. The Ultra Line eliminates unnecessary circuit boards, friction-fit connectors, and intermediate connection points in favor of direct hardwired construction. Every connection is individually hand-soldered with premium silver-alloy solder, creating an exceptionally direct and reliable signal path with minimal opportunity for added interference. 3. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Where the Ultra Line truly distinguishes itself is in its protection against external electromagnetic interference. While the Classic Line offers excellent shielding, the Ultra takes EMI suppression significantly further through an extensively engineered combination of heavy copper shielding and mu-metal—an advanced magnetic shielding alloy widely used in precision electronic applications. This painstaking, labor-intensive construction helps block external electromagnetic interference before it can reach sensitive digital audio components, creating an exceptionally quiet operating environment. Premium Construction Every Aardvark Isolator Ultra Line features: Transformer-coupled galvanic isolation Heavy copper and mu-metal shielding Passive design with no external power supply required Hardwired construction with no printed circuit board Individually hand-soldered silver-alloy connections Premium shielded RJ45 connectors Handcrafted assembly Heavy-duty shielded cable and enclosure Designed specifically for high-performance digital audio systems The result is an Ethernet noise isolator engineered to minimize electrical noise at every stage—from internally generated ground noise to external electromagnetic interference. For discerning audiophiles seeking the highest level of network isolation, the Aardvark Isolator Ultra Line delivers an uncompromising solution that helps reveal greater clarity, dimensionality, microdetail, and musical realism.
