ABB Bailey Infi 90 IMMFC04 is an Enhanced Multi-Function Controller Module used to run control logic and interface field I/O within the INFI 90/Net 90 distributed control system. It occupies a single slot in the INFI 90 Module Mounting Unit (MMU); the MMU backplane provides module power, a Module Bus for module-to-module communication, and a Slave Expander Bus for slave modules. The module houses a CMOS 68000 microprocessor running at 12 MHz, 256 KB EPROM, 256 KB static RAM, and 64 KB nonvolatile RAM (battery-backed), plus front-panel visibility via eight LEDs and a Status LED that indicates the operating state. Redundancy is supported: a second IMMFC04 can serve as backup in a hot standby configuration, with on-line configuration available to modify the backup MFC without interrupting control. Operating environmental and power specs are 0–70°C and 5–95% RH (derating to 5–45% at 70°C), and up to 1.6 A at +5 VDC (about 8 W); the module is designed to be part of a modular INFI 90 cabinet, typically handling process I/O interfacing and control strategy execution across the network using the Module Bus and Slave Expander Bus.
