ABB SPBRC410 Symphony Plus Bridge Controller Module is the central bridge controller (BRC) for the Symphony Plus HR (Harmony Rack) family, serving as the main processing and integration engine between Harmony I/O, S800 I/O via IOR810, and legacy Bailey Infi 90 networks. It runs on an industrial-grade RISC processor with 8 MB DRAM and 2 MB NVRAM, and draws about 10 W from a 5 VDC supply (controller) plus 0.5 W for the PBA. The unit provides two RS-232-C ports (or one RS-232-C and one RS-485), plus a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and a mini-USB diagnostic port for engineering and troubleshooting. It supports Modbus TCP communications, enabling access to ABB and third-party IEDs including transmitters, actuators, motor control centers and flame scanners, and with Harmony Gateway licenses, up to 4,000 Modbus TCP points (licenses: 8VZZ000785L0121 for 500 points, 8VZZ000785L0062 for 1,500, 8VZZ000785L0063 for 3,000, and 8VZZ000785L0064 for 4,000). The SPBRC410 is designed to operate from 0 to 70 °C and supports redundancy within Symphony Plus configurations to improve availability. In practice, it functions as the bridge between field I/O and the control network, enabling centralized supervision of ABB Harmony I/O and third-party devices, while retaining compatibility with legacy Bailey Infi 90 systems when migrating to S+ control.
