Minimal porting brings out those c lassic aesthetics and strikes a nice balance between lightweight yet still having that solid Abel feel. The Abel TR Reels feature a beautiful sounding click and pawl, a Rosewood (on Black reels) or Walnut (on colored reels) handle and a large arbor spool that is easy to palm. All Abel TR Reels come with a very nice Cordura reel pouch. The partial porting of the frame draws from the Abel lineage, and its unique features are as inventive as anything Abel has ever produced. Crafted by our expert machinists in Montrose, Colorado, the Abel TR Reels are a lightweight masterpiece. An integrated precision-balanced clicker on the spool eliminates the need for a counterweight, yielding a clean look and retaining an iconic click-pawl sound. The Abel TR Reels feature a pronounced palming rim deliberately shaped to manually control drag pressure in all fishing conditions.
