Dual 18-Inch Powered Subwoofer for Ground-Stacked Bass Reinforcement The FBT MUSE 218 SA is a high-output, ground-stacked active subwoofer featuring dual B&C 18" (460mm) long-excursion woofers with massive 4" (100mm) voice coils. Designed for professional sound reinforcement, it delivers up to 4000W of Class D power and 148.5dB peak SPL—making it an ideal low-end extension for MUSE 210LND line array systems or any large-format PA needing deep, controlled bass down to 30Hz. FBT MUSE 218 SA Competitive Differences Two B&C 18" (460mm) long-excursion woofers with 4" (100mm) voice coils 4000W RMS Class D amplification (8000W peak) Maximum SPL: 148.5dB (peak), 142.5dB (continuous) Extended frequency response down to 30Hz (-6dB) Integrated DSP with presets for cardioid subwoofer configurations Cardioid mode reduces rear SPL by more than 15dB Optimized bass-reflex cabinet with BEM (Boundary Element Method) acoustic modeling 18mm birch plywood enclosure with scratch-resistant coating Reinforced steel grille with internal protective fabric Six ergonomic side handles for easier transport Rear panel supports optional 100mm (4") swivel casters FBT MUSE 218 SA Description The FBT MUSE 218 SA is built for high-demand applications where powerful and controlled low-frequency output is critical. It features a direct-radiating design with dual B&C 18" drivers, each equipped with oversized 4" voice coils to handle high power and deliver ultra-low frequency extension. Its bass-reflex cabinet pushes substantial acoustic energy down to 30Hz with clarity and punch. Equipped with a 4000W RMS Class D amplifier and onboard DSP, the MUSE 218 SA delivers a peak SPL of up to 148.5dB. Its DSP presets include cardioid settings, enabling systems with reversed subwoofers in an array to reduce rearward bass energy by more than 15dB—perfect for stages, arenas, or outdoor festivals where controlling bass spill is essential. The enclosure is precision-engineered using 18mm birch plywood and optimized through BEM-type acoustic simulations to reduce duct resonance and turbulence. Its durable finish withstands the rigors of touring, while six integrated handles allow for safe and efficient handling. The reinforced steel grille with internal fabric offers added transducer protection, and the rear panel is pre-configured to accept optional swivel-mount caster wheels for added mobility.
