The real highlights, besides the Bowie numbers ('Volare'!), include a swingin' jazz torch tune by Sade ('Killer Blow') and actress Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2) who does a wispy voiced jazz beatnik number complete with bongos and background finger snaps. The film was directed by Julian Temple, a hot music video director back in the '80s, who also directed Bowie's epic 'Blue Jean' video, and while the film itself is flawed, Temple's music background comes raging through.
