Abstract Art I (6 sessions) The Abstract Art Program is designed for those who have a specific interest toward abstract art. In this short course, we will explore a variety of mediums and tools such as, but not limited to, dry medium: charcoal, graphite pencil, pastels, watercolour, acrylic paint, oil paint, printmaking or even digital medium throughout the entire program. In Abstract Art I, students will be exposed to the overview and introduction of Abstract Art and explore ways of abstraction from our instructor. In the process of their creation, students will be guided step-by-step and create 2 complete abstract piece in this program. Immerse in your world of creation and release your inner Child through this Therapeutic & Expressive Course. Learn new perspectives and ways to create paintings that allow your imagination to run wild. Class size: Min. 3 pax, Max. 6 pax. Standard materials will be provided. Any additional materials/canvas bigger than 16” X 20” will have to be purchased by the student. It is recommended for those who take on this course to have a basic understanding of the classical arts, such as courses in oil painting till end of Intermediate II. Who can join? This class is suitable for any individual who has a geared interest towards abstract art or desire to create things beyond the standard art class experience! Prerequisite (Recommended): For a better learning experience, participants are recommended to complete LACA’s Oil painting Beginner course to have a minimal understanding and technical control on painting and basic colour theory.
