Acacia baileyana Purpurea is a purple leaf form of the common Cootamundra Wattle. It is a bushy shrub or small tree growing 3-10 meters high. It is easily identified by its new fol iage which is a striking purple colour, as well as the iconic golden pom pom flowers. The tree produces profuse sprays of these small globular flowers in late winter to early spring providing a striking contrast against the backdrop of the striking purple and silver-blue foliage.
