This knitting pattern PDF is for the Acacia Mosaic Beanie. This beanie uses slipped stitches or mosaic knitting to create the colourwork pattern. The graphic stitch used in this beanie is a variation of Barbara Walker’s simulated basketweave pattern. The mosaic pattern is a 10-stitch, 16-round repeat and it can be worked from the chart or the written instructions. Only one colour is used at a time within a round and every 2nd pattern round is the same as the previous round. It is knitted from the bottom edge up with a 2 x 2 rib band and if desired, any leftover yarn can be made in to a pompom. The Acacia Mosaic Beanie requires intermediate knitting skills.
