The publication harnesses the format of print media as a space to ‘exhibit’ these ideas, emphasising the cohesion between page design and its thematic content. Issue nine seeks to examine the relationship between affirmation and denial, alongside ‘material-conceptual operations with dirt’. Inspired by artist and writer Emma Cocker’s collection of poetic prose ‘The Yes of the No’ and Hélène Frichot’s musings in her pamphlet ‘Dirty Theory: Troubling Architecture’ (2019), this edition opens with excerpts from both authors.
