Crimson Sentry makes a great ornamental tree for small to medium sized gardens due to its tall, columnar habit. It will reach heights of 12m with a spread of 5m in a 20 year period . The stately Norway Maple is best known for its stunning display of rich coloured foliage in spring, summer and autumn. The new leaves emerge in spring in a bold red hue and are slightly sticky to the touch. They then mature to a rich burgundy in summer, smothering the branches.
