Norway Maple A magnificent, fast growing maple, that has a handsome shape and beautiful green foliage that turns yellow, and occasionally red in Autumn, before dropping. Uses: An excellent tree for larger gardens, and parks, especially where a fast growing shade tree is required. Deciduous trees are especially useful for shading houses as they allow the winter sun to penetrate. Will grow in a range of areas. Cultivation: Will tolerate a range of soils as long as the drainage is adequate. Water well in drier weather and especially in the first summer. Regular deep watering is best, rather than frequent shallow ones. Mulching is recommended to retain moisture, reduce weed growth and improve the soil.
