Selected for it’s upright, narrow growth habit. Acmena smithii Pencil Red is a psyllid-resistant variety of lilly pilly that shows off brilliant red-coloured new growth. Dainty cre am flowers are produced in spring, attracting birds and beneficial insects. Pencil Red is a fantastic shrub for hedging, borders, topiary and screening. The naturally dense compact growth habit means pruning is not required unless a certain size or shape is wanted. Soil: Grows well in most soils. Conditions: Full sun to part shade.
