Salicylic acid (a BHA) penetrates the pore lining and dissolves the oil-based congestion that builds up inside follicles — which is the congestion that causes clogged pores, texture and breakout-prone skin. Unlike physical scrubs that remove surface debris by abrasion, the Deep Cleanse works from within the pore without the micro-tears and irritation that scrubbing causes.
