Traditionally designed olla bowl was created by Acoma artist Claudia Mitchell. Claudia is the grandaughter of the famed Acoma potter Lucy M. Lewis, and daughter of the late Emma Le wis. The simplicitity of this bowl will be a complimentary addition to any collection.Lucy Lewis was the driving force behind the revival of pottery-making as an art in Acoma Pueblo. The Lewis family keeps the same patterns, and does not move to a contemporary style because it is very important to them to keep the true traditions and designs of the ancient Mimbres people alive.Olla bowl measures 5-1/4" long and wide, stands 4-1/4" tall.
