Integration of the Extender enhances crew safety by ensuring prompt audible alarms (2-8 seconds delay depending on receiver), GPS incident logging, and directional guidance via the OLAS mobile app. Designed for recreational and commercial vessels, it also provides signal coverage in blocked areas, expanding the system’s application versatility. The Extender features Bluetooth 5.0, is waterproof to IP67, but not buoyant. The OLAS Core Base Station is a wireless MOB alarm system that connects up to 15 OLAS transmitters, including OLAS Tag and OLAS Float-On. It provides near-instant emergency alerts with an 85 dB audible alarm and ultra-bright 55 lumen red LED visual alarm within 4 seconds of an MOB event. The Core communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0 and can interface with the OLAS mobile app, which visually guides crew to the MOB location using GPS-based bearings and tracks.
