Larsen Acrylic Primer 5L is a ready-to-use primer for porous and difficult substrates prior to tiling or screeding, or to seal gypsum plasters and screeds before applying cement-based adhesives. Features: Water-based polymer emulsion Ready to use primer Improved adhesion Coloured to indicate application Touch dry in less than 1 hour on porous substrates Size: 5 litres Everything you need to know about Larsen Acrylic Primer 5L Larsen Acrylic Primer is a water-based polymer emulsion designed to improve adhesion on porous and difficult substrates before tiling or screeding. It's also used to seal gypsum plasters or screeds before the addition of cement-based adhesives, helping prevent excessive suction that can affect adhesive performance. It can be used neat when sealing more absorbent substrates, or diluted 1:1 with clean water for general priming on less porous surfaces — giving flexibility across a range of site conditions. Its coloured formulation makes it easy to see exactly where primer has already been applied, reducing the risk of missed patches. Coverage varies depending on dilution: used neat, 1 litre covers approximately 7–10m², while diluted 1:1 with water, 1 litre stretches to approximately 14–20m². It's touch dry in under an hour on porous substrates, keeping preparation time to a minimum before the next stage of the job. Supplied in a 5 litre container, Larsen Acrylic Primer is a practical choice for larger tiling and screeding projects where substrate preparation covers a significant area.
