Among them are a massive purple sea serpent and a giant dragonfly whose needle-like stinger pierces Superman’s cape before escaping at super-speed. As the attacks escalate, Superman encounters an enormous spiderweb stretching across the city near the Daily Planet, trapping him despite the use of heat vision. Superman soon realizes that the creatures possess powers similar to those of Kryptonian life forms under a yellow sun. Despite attempts to neutralize them using kryptonite, the Phantom Zone, and even the extreme heat near the sun, the creatures remain unaffected. Retreating to his Fortress, Superman detects an alien probe and follows it into space, only to be transported to a colossal planet populated by giant insects living beneath a red sun. There, Superman encounters alien survivors whose world was destroyed by a space blight. Seeking vengeance, they unleashed the super-creatures on planets with yellow suns, choosing Earth as the hundredth target. With their mission complete, the aliens destroy themselves and the insect planet. Superman narrowly escapes as fragments of the planet transform into Giantite, which later proves lethal to the invading insects on Earth, ending the threat and saving the planet. 🔥 The Secret of Supergirl's Suitor Linda Danvers finds herself inexplicably drawn to Al Mintor, a petty thief, and repeatedly intervenes on his behalf, even posting bail using gold. Unable to explain her feelings to Superman or her suitors Jerro and Dick Malverne, Supergirl is devastated when Mintor is fatally injured in a fire. Before his death, Mintor reveals that he is an android doll from Krypton, created by Magus of Argo City using non-Kryptonian components. He shares the consciousness of a childhood doll Kara once cherished, linked through a mental network among Magus’s creations. Built on the orders of Zor-El and sent into the Survival Zone, Mintor escaped to Earth due to an accident and attempted to preserve his handmade dolls of Argo City acquaintances. Following Mintor’s death, Supergirl later acquires the Kara doll he constructed, bringing closure to the mystery of her unexplained attachment.
