Active Military/Law Enforcement Only We spend entirely too much time in active shooter training courses talking about things that have no impact on stopping active shooters/attackers. If you want the best chances of performing in the moment, then YOU need to be the one going after the bad guy. Not once. Not for a few minutes. Not as part of a team where you never see the attacker. Active shooter is hostage rescue. In both of those scenarios time is paramount. The sooner we disrupt the bad guy's objective the sooner the killing stops. At best we prevent the loss of life, at worst we prevent the level of destruction. This course covers fundamental principles surrounding solo and duo responses to an active attack incident. This includes responding to a call for service (911 call) at a residence. Students will receive the fundamental principles of Close Quarters Battle (CQB). The only topic stressed in this course is getting you to the bad guy and protecting those who are counting on you to protect them. This is a force-on-force/force on target class. Students should be prepared to assume role player responsibilities. This will provide you with valuable insight from the attacker's perspective. Simunition equipment will be provided if necessary.
