The sling supports the upper body and is secured around the chest and the upper thigh. The elastic support strap must be used together with the sling, and it can be adjusted to suit the individual user. It is ideal for lifting people who can control their heads but have slightly reduced function in their upper body, hips, and thighs. The sling features a large opening in the bottom, which provides access to clothing while the user remains seated in the sling. It has been designed specifically for situations in which it must be easy to put the sling on and remove it again.
