Art was to him a condition in which the life of t he soul is re-enacted- a `theatre of the soul'.It's a theatre because the theatre is ritual, and this is enacted in various paintings of mine to remind the spectator that art and life is covenant made with the Divine Reality.He goes on to describe how, like a play: everything is revealed and unfolded, gradually or suddenly from the unknown.
