Description The Adafruit Feather M4 Express is a fast ATSAMD51 Cortex-M4 development board in the Feather ecosystem. It is built around the ATSAMD51J19 running at 120MHz with floating-point support, 512KB Flash, 192KB RAM, and an extra 2MB SPI Flash chip for CircuitPython files or data storage. This Feather M4 Express ships with UF2 bootloader and CircuitPython support, so it can appear as a small USB drive for quick code editing while still supporting Arduino IDE and native USB serial workflows. The board offers GPIO, PWM, ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, UART, I2S, LiPo charging, a Mini NeoPixel, and a small prototyping area. Because it follows the Feather form factor, the Adafruit Feather M4 Express works well with compatible FeatherWing add-ons, breadboards, education labs, rapid firmware tests, sensor hubs, data loggers, and compact embedded prototypes. LiPo battery and USB cable are not included. Features ATSAMD51J19 Cortex-M4 microcontroller at 120MHz with 32-bit 3.3V logic. 512KB Flash, 192KB RAM, and 2MB SPI Flash for CircuitPython storage and data files. UF2 bootloader for drag-and-drop firmware updates without special programming tools. Native USB support for bootloader, serial debugging, CircuitPython, and Arduino workflows. 21 GPIO pins, 6 analog inputs, two 12-bit DAC outputs, 16 PWM outputs, I2C, SPI, UART, and I2S. 100mA LiPo charger, charge status LED, 3.3V regulator with 500mA peak output, and power/enable pin. Mini NeoPixel, pin 13 red LED, reset button, prototyping area, and four mounting holes. Feather-compatible layout for FeatherWing expansion boards and breadboard prototyping.
