Adagio is a wall clock and a wall light in one piece. The face is a solid disc of travertine, a natural stone the color of warm cream, with the small open pores this stone is known for. It comes in two sizes, 9.1 and 11.8 inches across, and stands 1.8 inches out from the wall.There are no numerals on the face and no minute marks. The hour and minute hands are wood in a walnut tone, cut thick and tapered, and a slim second hand travels with them. Four round holes at the rim mark the quarters, and that is everything the face tells you. You get the hour from where the hands point. From across the room it looks more like a stone disc than a clock.Behind the disc there is a 7W LED. Because the stone is held clear of the wall, light escapes around the edge and settles as a warm halo the width of the rim. Travertine is dense, so no light passes through the stone: what you see lit is the wall behind it. The lamp offers three tones, from warm to cool, and it joins the wiring already in your wall like any wall light. The clock is separate.
