Feed it an 80 minute disc recorded in LP4 and you get 320 minutes of continuous playback, which in 2004 was an absurd amount of music to carry in one slot, and it reads group-edited MDs properly rather than dumping every track into one flat list. Sound shaping comes in two layers: Z-Enhancer Plus for the character of the sound, with Bass Boost, Impact, Excite and a custom slot, and a separate five mode DSP for the space it sits in, from Club up to Stadium.
