Overview Uses Plan Info General Information It doesn't matter if you build many different guitar shapes or a single shape, you will want to have one of these tools at your fingerti ps. This adjustable version of an inside form does many tasks and does them quickly and efficiently. To load the form, insert the proper guitar shape, which is a single piece of plywood, roughly adjust the 6 retainers to that form and load the guitar body. Finally tighten the retainers to the body. The guitar will be held firmly in place with perpendicular sides and proper shape. Here are some of the tasks that I use for my adjustable form: Glue the kerfing around the top and bottom of the sidesCut in brace channels into the kerfingFlatten the sides for installation of the top plateAdjust the sides to accommodate the back plate and back archGluing of both the back and top plate onto the sidesRout purfling channelsRout binding channelsInstall purflingInstall bindingFit neck This tool can be used for all of our guitar shapes. This saves a vast amount of plywood for stacked forms and frees up precious room in the shop. Just build the jig base, complete the (6) retainers and you are in business.
