Multi-Level Rack System with Half-Moon Deflectors The Adjustable Rig Spider Combo for Vision grills gives you more cooking space, more setup options, and better control over direct, indirect, raised-grid, and low-fire cooking. This combo is built around the CGS Adjustable Rig with an attached Spider, giving you multiple ways to grill, barbeque, sear, roast, and bake inside your Vision kamado. The Rig is designed to work with the 19.5" diameter stainless cooking grid, pictured below atop the Rig. What's Included in the Combo Adjustable Rig with attached Spider Pair of Crossbars 13-inch x 17-inch Oval Stainless Cooking Grid Deflectors: two 15-inch Half-Moon Ceramic Deflectors Vision Cooking Grid Your factory Vision cooking grid, the one with handles, can be used on top of the Rig. The CGS 18-inch Heavy Duty Grid is designed for the Rig, and you may find the 18-inch grid a better and easier grid to use. What Can the Adjustable Rig Spider Combo Do? Raised direct grilling - set up on the Rig to grill on one or two grids. Raised indirect barbeque - use the Rig and deflectors for ribs, pork butt, brisket, chicken, and other low-and-slow cooks. Double indirect - use four half-moon deflectors, two per level, to create a double indirect setup. May require extra Crossbars. Large two-grid indirect cooks - set deflectors on the Spider and cook above on the Adjustable Rig. Low-fire searing - place a cast iron grid on the Spider to sear close to the lump charcoal. Reverse sear cooking - start indirect on the Rig, then finish close to the fire on the Spider. Turkey and large roasts - build a stable indirect setup for Thanksgiving turkey, roasts, and other large cooks. Half direct, half indirect cooking - use one half-moon deflector to create a two-zone setup. Pizza and baking setups - use a stone atop the Rig for pizza, bread, and baking-style cooks. Recommended Add-On Accessories One note: many of the Adjustable Rig setups we use in the Large Big Green EGG can also be configured on the Vision Rig. The main difference is that the Rig cannot be set on top of the Vision cooking grid because the attached Spider prevents that setup. 18-inch Heavy Duty Stainless Grid - use on top of the Adjustable Rig for additional cooking space. 14-inch Stainless Drip Pan - fits on the Spider or Adjustable Rig to help catch drippings and protect ceramic deflectors. 16-inch Stainless Drip Pan - works on the Adjustable Rig for larger drip coverage. Does not fit on the Spider. Cast Iron Grid - use on the Spider for searing close to the lump charcoal. The Big Green Egg 13-inch cast iron grid for the Small and MiniMax EGG fits. Call us to order. Fitment & Compatibility The Adjustable Rig Spider Combo is designed for Vision Classic, Professional, and Signature Series grills from 2014 or newer. To use two 15-inch half-moon deflectors on the Spider, your fire bowl's inside diameter should measure at least 16.25 inches. This clearance helps maintain proper air circulation around the deflectors. If your fire bowl is tighter than that, call us and we will substitute 14-inch half-moon deflectors.
