Do you have a favorite tree at Green-Wood? Perhaps it overlooks a favorite vista, or shades a loved one’s grave. For a tax-deductible contribution, you may “adopt” one of the trees that make Green-Wood’s landscape so special. A plaque bearing the name of the person you are honoring or memorializing—as well as information about the tree—will be placed at the tree for a period of one, five, or ten years. For New AdoptionsIf you have a specific tree in mind: You should confirm availability by email before making your adoption. We recommend having a few choices, in case any are not available. Every tree at the Cemetery has a tag number, and you will need to provide them in your email. Tag numbers can be found on either a small silver tag or a colorful band, depending on the tree. Please also include the period of time for which you plan to adopt. Gift Instructions If you would like give a tree adoption as a gift, please enter the name, address, and email of the recipient in the comments box during checkout.
