Due to his shy personality, he was overlooked for adoption for over four years. Sadly, he was placed on the euthanasia list — but was rescued just in time. Now, he’s safe and waiting for the loving home he has never had. 👩👩👧 Social with People Because Roni grew up in the shelter surrounded only by dogs, it takes him a little time to warm up to people. However, he will take treats from your hand, and even when meeting someone for the first time, he allows being petted, being held, and even baths. 🛁 When faced with new environments or strangers, he tends to freeze rather than run away. Roni hasn’t met children under 13, but in the shelter, he was fed by older male caretakers and walked by male volunteers, so he has no issues with men. 🐕 Social with Dogs Roni feels more comfortable with dogs than with people. He is confident in large groups of dogs and becomes more lively in their company. Friendly by nature, he greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs politely, regardless of their size. Even if another dog tries to provoke him, he avoids conflict and walks away. He often relies on canine friends for confidence and stability so that he would thrive in a home with another dog. 🐱 Social with Cats His reaction to cats is unknown, but a cat test can be arranged. ⚡ Energy Level Roni has a medium energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities but rests calmly indoors.
