Intensive class for ceramicists who want to up their glaze game. The class teached by Véronique Proulx, UQAM'S ceramics department technician, in my studio at Le Chat des Artistes in Montreal. This course will make you autonomous in a glaze chemistry to be able to create and twitch your own recipes. *all included: basic dry materials, stains, test tiles in 3 colors, tools, protection gear, and firings, and a recipe book. *Don't forget that if you are an artist and make sale revenues even if it's not your primary source of income, formations are tax deductibles. Program: After this class you will understand glaze chemistry, how to solve problems in a glaze recipe, and funky techniques likes gloops, funfettis, and crystalines glazes. You will be able to alter glazes recipes in a efficient way with different strategies to personnalize them so they are unique to you. We will provide test tiles + glazes but if you have a glaze recipe that needs fixing you can bring the recipe. If you work with a particular clay body we advise to bring clay samples because glaze reacts different on different clay bodies.
