This year we are also getting stuck into the fire pit and the pizza oven: homemade pizzas from scratch, dough balls, garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread that never lasts long, plus homemade cookies and hot chocolate, because some things are far too good to keep for winter. Real skills, real freedom and the kind of holiday children talk about all the way home. Book by the day or by the week. April can give us all four seasons in a day, so wellies and waterproofs are strongly advised. A full change of clothes should come in every bag.
