A Brazilian species that was formerly known as Portea leptantha. A giant grower, easily reaching 40 or more inches in height with an inflorescence that can reach over 5 feet tall. The leaves are stiff and erect, light green to yellowish with an orange blush in strong light. The inflorescence is a tall, many-branched panicle of orange.
