An exceptional form of this beautiful species from the collection of Roberto Menescal of Rio de Janeiro, and later propagated and named in his honor by Chester Skotak. A ‘black’ fo rm but with extremely bold cream colored variegation in a broad band up the center of the leaves. In good light the variegation develops a red coloration that is more noticeable from the undersides of the leaves. The inflorescence is bold with yellow branches and large orange bracts.
