The ANVG housing includes premium features normally found only in higher-priced systems, including manual gain control, independent pod shutoff, built-in IR illuminator, IPD stops, external power capability, and articulating pods for improved helmet stow profile and ergonomics. The articulating design allows each pod to shut off automatically when rotated up, preventing light splash and preserving light discipline. This housing supports both onboard power via a single CR123A battery and external power through the Fischer-style connector. The auto-stow function cuts power when the unit is flipped up on a helmet mount and restores power when deployed. The built-in dual-focus IR illuminator offers selectable Flood and Spot modes, controlled through the rotary gain switch. Status indicators notify the user when the IR illuminator is active or when a low battery is detected. Unlike other housings in its class, the ANVG includes a 5-year housing warranty that covers accidental damage, making it one of the best values in the articulating housing market.
