Sometimes called “South African Jade” after where it originates, is a mottled green variety of glossularite garnet. Buddstone is described as metamorphic rock, because it consists of various different minerals. The green color is due to green minerals like fuschite or chlorite which can be found in small amounts in the stone. Picture is representative of the specimens you will receive.
