The Solmar UV is AFTCO's do-everything sun glove — the pair we'd grab for jigging, casting poppers, handling fish at the rail, or a full day poling a skiff, paddling a kayak, or st anding on a SUP. The UPF 50 polyester back keeps the sun off the one spot everybody forgets to re-apply sunscreen: the backs of your hands. This is the current-generation Solmar, and the working side got the upgrade. The synthetic Grotech™ leather palm now carries AX Suede G-Series® grip panels for control and feel on a rod, paddle, or push pole, backed by a 2mm PORON® XRD® smart-foam pad that absorbs pressure and takes the fatigue out of a long session on the jig. The fingertips stay exposed so you can tie knots and work tackle without pulling a glove off, and the slip-on cuff with its synthetic leather pull tab gets them on and off fast — no bulky closure bunching under a watch or jacket sleeve.
