This may take up to 2 hours. Trim your wick to 1/8" before every relight. You can do this by pinching off the burnt wooden bits with your fingers before lighting and only once the candle is cooled or with a wick trimmer. Candle Safety To avoid fire hazards, never leave a burning candle unattended and always light it on a heatproof surface. Ensure you trim the wick before each light to avoid a flame that is too large.
