There have been long periods of my life where illness reduced everything down to very small spaces.Quiet rooms. Half-light. Long days. But even then, my mind kept making colour. Th is painting arrived like an eruption after darkness. Koi moving through currents of light and growth, as though something underneath the surface had finally broken open. A lot of these pieces are about endurance, I think.Not heroic endurance. Just continuing. Finding fragments of beauty and following them. After dark, there is light.
