Agave tequilanaLong powder-blue leaves rise steeply from the short central stem of Agave tequilana, creating an open rosette with an upright centre and older leaves spreading farth er out. Small teeth line the rigid edges, and each leaf ends in a sharp point. Established plants may produce young rosettes around the base. Flowering happens once, after many years: the main rosette produces a tall stalk and then dies, leaving the younger rosettes to continue growing. Show more
