Produced in 2017 with 15-year-old Puerh tea, this popular Puerh collectable is crafted with small mandarins that are hollowed out by hand, then filled with Puerh tea. The tea-fille d mandarins are wrapped, allowing the tea to age and absorb some of the fruitiness. These special mandarins are grown in the Xin Hui area of China's Guangdong province. The peels of these mandarins are known as “Chen Pi” (or aged peels) and are collected and aged for use as a spice and for medicinal purposes. The mandarin peels become more fragrant and flavorful as they age; they also increase in value. The combination of Puerh and "Chen Pi" has been popular for many years, and we are very proud to be able to offer this exceptional example. The bright, yet earthy flavor and texture of this tea is so extraordinary that we are frankly at a lost for words to explain and describe it.
