[short_description] From low altitude above Ritsem, the full profile of Ahkka holds its shape against an incoming Lapland storm - the mountain's ridgeline clear from end to end, the sky behind it collapsing into dark weather moving fast across the plateau. Limited edition of 5 - One size: 80×80 cm - Hand-signed & numbered by Tobias Hägg - 308g Hahnemühle fine art paper, matte finish [/short_description] [product_description] Ahkka rises to 2,015 metres above the Laponian wilderness at Stora Sjöfallet - a massif so dominant in the landscape that the Sámi named it Queen of Lapland. It sits in near-total isolation, surrounded by glaciers, birch scrub and the vast empty plateau of one of Europe's last true wildernesses. The storm captured here was moving in fast from the northwest - the kind of weather that closes the mountain within minutes and can strand expeditions for days. Shot from low altitude before it arrived, the full shape of Ahkka is visible from base to summit, the light already failing on one side while the other still holds. Five prints exist of this moment. The square format - unusual in the collection - was chosen to give the mountain equal weight in every direction, the massif centred with storm on all sides. It works as a singular statement piece in spaces that can hold something with real scale and atmosphere.
