AiM GS-Dash Compact Racing Dash Display – 268 x 128 Display, 5 RGB Shift Lights and 4 Alarm LEDs for AiM XLog, ECULog, EVO4S and EVO5 Loggers The AiM GS-Dash is a compact dash display designed to show the data sampled by an AiM XLog, ECULog, EVO4S or EVO5 logger, including ECU, accelerometer, GPS and custom sensor data. It connects to the logger over CAN through a single spiral cable that carries both power and data. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for small cockpits, such as formula cars and kit cars. The 268 x 128 pixel display can be backlit in one of seven colours, and an ambient light sensor adjusts brightness and contrast to the conditions. Its pages are fully configurable in AiM's free Race Studio 3 software, and can show rolling, static and predictive lap times. The body is aluminium, with edge-to-edge glass and metal pushbuttons. AiM GS-Dash with spiral cable AiM's Race Studio 3 software is a free download. The AiM logger is sold separately. Fitment AiM XLog, ECULog, EVO4S and EVO5 data loggers Not suitable for: the AiM EVO4, which isn't compatible. It also can't be used without a compatible AiM logger, because it displays the logger's data rather than recording its own. Please contact us if you're unsure whether it works with your system. Installation Mount the GS-Dash using its four M4 fixing points. AiM's tech sheet gives a thread depth of 7 mm, so use screws that won't go deeper. Connect the spiral cable to the CAN connection on your AiM logger, which powers the dash and sends it data. Configure the display pages, shift lights and alarms in Race Studio 3, then send the configuration to the logger. Which loggers does it work with? The AiM XLog, ECULog, EVO4S and EVO5. It isn't compatible with the EVO4. Does the GS-Dash record data? No. It's a display for the data sampled by your AiM logger. The logger records the data, and a summary of your best laps, lap times, min/max speed and min/max RPM is available at the end of each session. How does it connect? It connects to the logger over CAN using its spiral cable, which carries both power and data, so only one connection is needed. What can the shift lights and alarms do? The 5 RGB shift lights can be set for each gear, with your choice of colour and RPM threshold. For the 4 alarm LEDs, you choose what triggers the alarm, the LED colour and blink rate, when it switches off, and an optional warning message. What can I do from the dash's buttons? From the pop-up keyboard you can switch the backlight on or off, select the nearest track, check the firmware version, and delete data stored on an EVO4S or EVO5. Is it covered by a warranty? Yes. It's covered by AiM's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
