A collection of photographs of laundry taken in Jingdezhen, China, in July and August of 2024. The temperature was often above 40°C, and everywhere you looked, laundry was drying o utside. It hung from the balconies of private homes, in front of businesses, on trees, in bushes, from lampposts, and on drying rack after drying rack in the street. There is a kind of intimacy in seeing these arrangements out in public. Each display, although purely practical, seems to sketch out something of the person behind it.
