Air Sample Collection Guide TUMI Genomics’ Fungal screen diagnostic assay uses a TaqMan qPCR to detect the presence of pathogenic Pythium, Fusarium, and Aspergillus spores in air samples that have been collected in your facility. This product includes 1 sample plate to be tested and two internal control plates. Results take 2 weeks to be delivered. The primer/probe sets target the Pythium, Fusarium, and Aspergillus genomes. Additional pathogens can be identified via morphological characteristics. PCR confirmation of airborne fungal species besides Fusarium, Pythium, and Aspergillus is available upon request for an extra fee. The Pythium species detected in the assay are: P. dissotocum P. myriotylum P. ultimum P. alphanidermatum The Fusarium species detected in the assay are: Fusarium oxysporum Fusarium solani Fusarium proliferatum Fusarium brachygibbosum The Aspergillus species detected in the assay are: A. fumigatus A. flavus A. niger A. terreus Note: The assay detects the presence of pathogenic Pythium, Fusarium and Aspergillus. If you would like to identify the species infecting your plant we also have Pythium and Fusarium speciation tests available. Please contact [email protected] for pricing.
